Meet the Maker

Welcome to White Stone Art Studio.

My name is Elizabeth.

I have a passion for studying Scripture and learning more about the God who loves us so passionately. I also have a love for encouraging others & seeing them fall deeper in love with their Lord.  I’ve spent over 15 years in the classroom setting, sharing my knowledge and helping my students learn & grow.  I’ve also spent many years in an outreach ministry, sharing my love of Jesus & His love for them with my friends.

The creative process is an outlet for my two passions and my heart’s desire is to encourage and glorify the Lord.

I love creating personalized pieces based on Scripture for close friends.  This has grown into White Stone Art Studio, a small organization that seeks to encourage others through fine art & Bible Study for the glory of God. I deeply desire to see His Kingdom come here on Earth.

Behind all that I create & do is the idea “All is Gift”.  Creating beautiful things and creating for the New Creation.  It’s the way I want to live my life & glorify the Lord.

Won’t you join me on this journey as I seek the Lord & His Truths?

The Process

Always I start with my study of Scripture & the artwork flows from this.
I have a great love of fibers, texture, & the beauty of the natural world.  I always find the symbolism that represents the Biblical Truths I’m learning in the colors, subject matter, & textures of nature.  It is true that all creation sings His praises!  (Psalm 19:1)

I make all my own collage papers using various mono-printing techniques to create delicious textures and subtle values.

I very often stitch the collage papers together rather than glue them. It is another way to add the texture that I love, but represents God’s hand working in every area of our lives. His care for each of us in every small area is seen in the larger “tapestry” of the larger piece.

I typically add pastels, paints, and inks to bring it all together to make a unified piece of art.
